Jenna M. George

Jenna M. George was born on May 21, 1998, and has lived in the suburbs of Chicago her whole life. When she was in seventh grade, she realized the most effective way to vocalize her thoughts was by writing them down. The hobby became more and more profound throughout her life, and she quickly realized that writing made her truly happy.

In high school, Jenna was an editor for her school newspaper, which gave her an opportunity to publish online for the first time. It liberated her to showcase her voice.

Jenna graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in May of 2020 with a bachelor's degree in General Business.

Every time she sits with her laptop open in front of her, she feels inspired and invigorated. The idea of a blank canvas opens up endless possibilities. Sometimes she writes poems that resonate so deeply in her gut, it's like the words are screaming at her to be released. Other times it's short stories. And one day, in November of 2020, a novel began.

Without the inspiration from her cousin, Sophia Venetos-Kramarz, Jenna never would have found it in her heard to write A Break in the Trees.

A novel about friends that turned into family. A novel about love and heartbreak. A novel about new beginnings and trauma. A novel that holds all of the elements of life (although some more extreme than the average person).

But when that blank canvas was in front of her, the words flowed like water from a faucet. Her brain wouldn't turn off.

So after a year and a half of dedicated work, she decided to publish for the first time. Although, she hopes it is not the last time.

Today, Jenna is currently working on a new YA fantasy series and a poetry book. For more information, you can contact her here
