Exactly one month ago, I drove a van full of clients from their vacation rental to the airport for their flight back home. As most of the conversations go, I began to share how I was an aspiring author and had three manuscripts in the works. I then shared how I was always looking for a new book to add to the collection and keep me engaged as a writer.

That statement led to “A Break in the Trees” being recommended to me by one of the passengers. I received my book a month ago and started to dive into the story. What I can say is that, if you are reading this, I am giving my highest recommendation to purchase this book and enjoy the contents within.

Jenna M. George stepped up to the plate and with her first ever-at-bat, hit a home run! Seriously.

I was blown away at how incredibly written this book is. The characters are ones you feel so connected to, the emotions and depth that JMG captured is amazing as I truly felt like I was back in Hawaii. A story that is not just about friendship, but about love, and life. There were parts that I chuckled at, there were parts where I cried as it brought back memories of others I’ve lost. Throughout the entire book, I as a fellow author felt inspired and motivated. I hope I can obtain the quality and depth of writing that JMG captured in this novel.

This book is seriously an incredible read and I can’t wait to see what JMG comes up with next.

This book got me back into reading. It was a fun, exhilarating romp thru a forest murder with a unique/ deep perspective of a fledgling villain. You can tell Jenna cares about these characters and that they are fully realized by the way they banter/ interact with each other in the friend group. The twists were great and kept the plot fresh and dynamic. I can't wait to see what Jenna writes next.

A Break in the Trees starts with a bang, both figuratively and literally! You can't help but root for the four young adults, who witness a crime in beautiful Hawaii and end up running for their lives. A modern whodunit filled with intrigue and revelations, A Break in the Trees will keep you riveted until the end!

There is something about a mystery that gets people hyped and excited, and A Break in the Trees fits the bill. Nature has its way of enchanting the reader and Jenna accomplishes this with her novel. A must-read.

This book held my attention from the Prologue to the end! Once I started, I could not put it down! The author does a wonderful job describing the characters and situations which had me completely immersed in the story. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was coming next. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

First, the title caught my attention (clever), & then the story sounded interesting. I wanted to know what happened that made the friends scared for their lives. I had not heard of this author, or story, before reading about it on Twitter. I'm really glad I did! It's really good!
